One more reason to reduce:The look on her face

It was embarrassing. It was sad. But it was true and it did happen. And it made me more determined to lose weight.

I must make things clear here. My gf is an amazing girl. She loves me, despite my quirks and my weight. And she accepts me for who I am,without a problem.

She’s very fit. She has an amazing body and she does not need to lose weight at all!

We were casually having dinner at a burger joint. I was talking about my weight and bmi etc when I told her that I was in the obese category, rather than overweight. For some reason she thought I’d be overweight. It was fleeting, it was brief, but somehow it kinda fazed or disappointed her: She just said that I should get myself into the overweight category at least.

I told her that I’m gonna get in the Normal category.

This is one more reason to make sure that I get there.

Weigh in sunday

Oh I forgot to tell you guys.Weigh in on sunday morning has me at 185 lbs again.

I think given all of what I ate on sunday I might not weigh in on monday.

Aim for next monday , the 16th:182 lbs.

Given last week’s reduction of roughly 7 lbs, this 3 pound reduction should be easy, right?Or am I just kidding myself :)

My massive eating on sunday

Well people, I had seen this coming.I knew sunday was going to be a bad day.

It started out simple enough-tea and coffee in the morning.

Then, I went out with my work mates- a kind of official retreat for our whole department. It was fun: out in nature, enjoying the great outdoors, hanging out with colleagues,….until it came to the stuffing your face with a delicious buffet part…which all of us proceeded to do with abandon.

There was much to offer, all of it rich stuff packed with calories. And even though I tempered my normal response when faced with a buffet(eat like its a race), and ate in a somewhat measured manner, I tried everything in mid-sized quantities, and you put all of that together and it turns into a whopping 1600 cal lunch(thats according to how I calculated it on myfitnesspal[Great site by the way. thanks”justkeepgoing84”]).

If any of you read my last post, you’d remember that I also had  a plan with my girl in the evening.Well, we couldnt make it to the movie, so we decided to go and eat out(cause whats more fun than eating out, right?).I did control myself here, so while my gf had most of the burger we ordered, I just one quarter of it ,a couple of fries, 1 cup of coleslaw and one scoop of delicious vanilla icecream.

What did the whole day come out to:2300 calories, roughly double what I’m supposed to have in a day.

Oh well, I think I’ll have to have no big meals on monday to even things out….

Challenges!

Sunday,I fear, is going to be a problem. Thats cause I’m going out, with work mates in the morning, and going to a movie with my girl in the evening.

Both plans are going to involve food. And even if I dont have too much, a decent intake will mean that I probably wont make it to 184 on monday.

Thats…kinda sad. BUT, considering that I was 192 lbs last monday…..I think I’ll be fine if I’m off by a pound…:)

This has been a truly phenomenal week so far..:)

Saturday weigh-in:Progress

Well people, its happening!:) I’m down to 185  as per saturday’s weigh in.

That means there’s only 1 more pound to go before Monday.

In view of the great result, I proceeded to have a decent medium sized meal in the morning. A small piece of omelette and a plate of vegetables. 2 pieces of bread, toasted and coffee.I had a light snack in the evening. No lunch.

Friday weigh-in…No big damage done

Well people, the 2 big meals I had on thursday have not affected me as much as I feared. My weight was at 187 lbs Friday morning.

This is the last stretch. Aim is to get to 184 lbs by Monday morning.

Therefore, no big meal for friday. I shall subsist on coffee, milk and 1 or 2 healthy snacks.

Lets see what happens.
